A fantastic range of free sport and activity sessions has been arranged for young people to enjoy in Lichfield District during the upcoming Half Term holiday.
The sessions, from Monday February 20 to Friday February 25, have been scheduled by Lichfield District Council’s Active Lichfield team for venues in Lichfield, Burntwood and Armitage including Curborough Community Centre, Oakenfield Multi Use Games Area, Burntwood Leisure Centre, the Parkour facility at Cherry Close in Burntwood and Armitage Village Hall.
There is Soft Archery for 7–14 year-olds, Multi Sports for 7–15 year olds or 8–11 year-olds (depending on the venue), Football for 12–19 year-olds, Glow Dodgeball for 7–14 year-olds, Parkour for 7–15 and 16–25 year-olds, Kwik Cricket for 9–15 and 12–19 year-olds and Glow Table Tennis for 10–19 year-olds.
Councillor Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet member for Leisure and Parks, said:
“The Getin2it sessions are a great way for young people to be active and have fun over the forthcoming Half Term holiday.
“They are free, given by our fully-qualified Getin2it coaches, and there is no need to book – just come along and join in.”
